Data analysis and visualisation of AIGA Design Census. 
Spring 2018



The American Institute of Graphic Arts, or AIGA, conducted a census of over 13,000 designers, and many of the questions they asked directly addressed what designers value, and what they think the future will look like. For this project our group (Remy Davidson, Hee Seo Chun) made an interactive  visualisation of the narrative and content we developed and researched from this data.

There was a good amount of time of not only making sense of the data, but also creating a cohesive narrative with the numbers. In the end, we found three different ways of viewing the data. These lenses were potential futures for the field of design: one which further emphasizes ethics and diversity, one which further emphasizes traditional analog skills, and one which further emphasizes an adaptation to future technology.
